Jeepfest FAQ
What is Jeepfest?Jeepfest is a fun, day-long event for all jeep owners and enthusiasts which includes a jeep show, jeep obstacle course, raffle, kids activities and more. The event is held within the shady groves of Pearson Park in New Castle PA.
1. Who is the organizer of Jeepfest?
A: Heritage Region Jeep Alliance (www.hrja.org) is the organizing group for the event. We have a staff of volunteers from our club who make everything happen. HRJA is a non-profit organization.
2. Is Jeepfest open to the public?
A: Yes, Jeepfest is open to anyone.
3. What is the cost to attend Jeepfest?
A: There is a registration cost to attend Jeepfest. The cost ranges from $10-$25 PER JEEP, depending on what activities you would like to participate in.
4. Can I bring my non-Jeep vehicle to Jeepfest?
A: You cannot register a non-Jeep vehicle and park it within the Jeepfest activities area, or participate in any of the vehicular activities with a non-Jeep vehicle.
5. I'm Jeepless, but would like to attend, is that possible?
A: Yes, you can still attend. There is satellite parking available, and you may park a non-jeep vehicle there and walk to the location of the Jeepfest activities.
6. Can I bring a cooler and my own food?
A: Yes, you can bring your own food and beverage, however ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED. This is a rule of the park that we hold Jeepfest at, and local police will be on-hand to insure that the Park rules are upheld.
7. Will there be food and beverage to purchase on site?
A: Yes, there are several vendors who set up food booths on site.
8. Is this a good event to bring my children to?
A: Yes, we go to great lengths for the entire family to enjoy Jeepfest. We have many kids activities and kids entertainment. There is also a playground at the Park where Jeepfest is held at.
9. I would rather tow my jeep to the event, is there trailer parking?
A: Yes, there is trailer parking available at a satellite parking lot. Please keep in mind, however that all Jeeps registered must be registered and insured.
10. What time does the event start?
A: The event starts at 10:00 AM. We usually open the registration booth at 9:30 AM. The event ends at 6:00 PM.
11. Is there a rain date?
A: No, Jeepfest is a rain or shine event.
12. How much does it cost for my passengers?
A: The registration is PER JEEP, not per person, so your passengers are free.
13. In 2005 you had a trailride on Sunday? Where can I sign up for that?
A: Due to many, many factors. We are unable to hold a trailride on Sunday. Jeepfest is only a 1-day event this year at Pearson Park. If you enjoyed the trails that you were on for Jeepfest last year, I strongly suggest you join HRJA, as we hold several members-only trailrides there every year.
14. How can I be a Jeepfest volunteer?
A: Jeepfest is staffed by HRJA member volunteers, so you first must become a member of HRJA.
15. Can I play on the Jeepfest obstacle course other times of the year?
A: No, this is the only time this area is used.
16. I pre-registered for Jeepfest online, when do I get something in the mail?
A: We mail you out a confirmation of your registration approximately 1-2 weeks prior to Jeepfest.
17. I pre-registered for Jeepfest.. what do I do when I get there?
A: As will be explained in your confirmation letter which you will receive 1-2 weeks prior to Jeepfest, you will have to park in the Registration lot, stop by the Registration building, sign a quick form, and get your registration packet and “goody bag.” After you do this, then you will drive your jeep into the Jeepfest activities area.
18. What if damage occurs to my Jeep in the obstacle course?
A: You are required to carry insurance on your Jeep to attend Jeepfest. Any damage which occurs to your Jeep may be paid for by your or your insurance company. We will be glad to help to get a tow, or provide assistance in repair on-site (to a reasonable point.)
19. Can I pay online with my credit card for Jeepfest?
A: We utilized PayPal for online payments for Jeepfest, Paypal has a provision for credit cards.
20. Can I buy a T-shirt from last years Jeepfest?
A: No, I'm sorry, we are sold out.
21. Can my minor child drive my Jeep through the Jeepfest obstacle course?
A: No, all drivers through the obstacle course must have a valid drivers license.
22. Will I need to be present to win the prizes in the raffle?
A: Yes, you must be present. However, we have drawings throughout the day,which are clearly marked for the time which they are going to be drawn, so if you buy raffle tickets early and have to leave early, there will still be plenty of prizes you will be eligible to win.
23. Will I need to be present to win a trophy in the Jeep Show?
A: No, if you have to leave early, and have still received enough votes to win, we will contact you with instructions as to where to pick up your trophy at a later date.
24. What is the procedure for determining the winners for the Jeep Show?
A: This is popular vote. Each registration packet includes on ballot to vote on the Jeeps. There is a ballot box located in the prize pavilion that participants place their ballots in.
25. Are there extra ballots available, so my friends who rode with me can vote?
A: The Jeep show allows one ballot per registration. If you friends would like to vote also, they would have to register themselves (there is a cost associated with registration.)
26. Are Volunteers ineligible to win prizes or Jeep show balloting?
A: Volunteers are free to win prizes or win in the Jeep show. As part of their packet for volunteering, they receive the same number of raffle tickets as a "deluxe" registration. Any additional tickets volunteers have to purchase themselves at the same cost as participants. It would be unfair for us to exclude the volunteers.

28. Can I join HRJA at Jeepfest?
A: Yes, but there is currently a waiting list. There will be a membership booth at Jeepfest to explain this if you are interested. HRJA memberships run on a calendar year are not pro-rated. A membership purchased at Jeepfest will be good until December 31, the following year which will entitle members to all the great benefits HRJA has to offer for the remainder of the year.
29. Can I purchase Jeepfest merchandise and raffle tickets with my "HRJA bucks"?
A: Yes.
30. Will you be taking orders for merchandise you run out of stock of?
A: No, we will only be selling the merchandise we have on hand.
